Kylie Jenner keeps flaunting her wealth, and fans are fed up with it.
There must be another dimension to Kylie’s social media posts than the endless array of materialistic images she keeps deferring to, and if there isn’t she may lose some of her followers soon. Time and time again, Kylie is blasted by her fans for putting up incredibly tone deaf and often times very offensive messaging that doesn’t at all speak to her audience.
Her life is so far removed from that of the average citizen that there is likely a disconnect somewhere down the line, but fans are calling on Kylie to be more aware of what sort of messages she’s posting. It might not be a bad idea to press pause and give things a bit more thought before hitting that ‘send’ button. Kylie’s recent post about the upcoming spring season could have easily been relayed differently…
Kylie’s Strange Perception Of The Spring Season
When most of us think about the upcoming spring season, we have visions of birds chirping, warmer weather, and the growth of new life as plants start to grow and flourish.
Kylie’s perspective is definitely different. She correlates the spring season to her ever growing selection of designer purses and shoes, most of which are completely out of budget for the average person.
Fans are acutely aware of the fact that she’s wealthy. Given the current climate we’re living in, they likely don’t need her excessive wealth to be constantly and consistently broadcast to them. For many fans, Kylie becomes less and less relatable each time she puts up images like these.
Kylie defines the spring season with brightly colored, luxurious shoes and handbags. She’s surely excited to break out the season’s lighter, brighter clothes, but can’t seem to acknowledge that the majority of her fanbase is not among the upper class. To many of her fans, posts like these just remind them of what they can’t have in their own lives.
Fans Aren’t Impressed
The exorbitant lineup of overpriced purses and shoes is too much for some fans to handle. Being in the middle of a global crisis means so many of Kylie’s fans are gripped by financial fears, and posts such as this one simply add insult to injury.
One fan wrote in to say; “23 days till rent… again. Wealth must be nice” while another said: ” We get it, but we’re poor, Kylie.” Another fan said; “That’s my whole college tuition” as another chimed in with; “This post reminds me I’m poor.”
Many fans felt this post was smearing her wealth in the faces of those who simply struggle to make ends meet. Other responses included; “We get it you’re rich 😭.” and “wtf this got to do with spring?”
If Kylie is posting to engage her fan base, she may want to engage them by not parading her wealth in front of them so abrasively.
