Doug Church presents ‘Beyond ’77’ Elvis show at Blue Gate
SHIPSHEWANA — Doug Church presents “Beyond ’77” on Jan. 20-22 and Feb. 17-19 at Blue Gate Music Hall, 195 Van Buren St.
“Beyond ’77” is a fantasy “what-if” show that attempts to answer the question, what if Elvis Presley had lived beyond 1977? What would he sing? What would he wear? How would he have reinvented himself once again?
A Presley tribute artist since the 1980s and billed as “The True Voice of Elvis,” Church has won numerous first-place trophies in competitions, including “The World’s Best Elvis Tribute Artist” in the Worldwide Elvis Impersonators contest in Memphis, Tenn.
He also portrayed Elvis as a member of the Las Vegas tribute show “Legends in Concert” for seven years and was inducted into the Elvis Tribute Artist Hall of Fame in 2013.
Performances are at 7 p.m. Jan. 20-21 and Feb. 17-19 and at 1 p.m. Jan. 22.
Tickets are $24.95; $43.95 for buffet dinner and show.
