New: Smith & Wesson SD9 2.0 Pistol
Smith & Wesson is advancing its SD series with the new SD9 2.0 9 mm pistol.
Smith & Wesson recently announced the release of the new SD9 2.0 model, a compact striker-fired pistol chambered in 9 mm with an affordable MSRP of $349.
Smith & Wesson is billing the SD9 2.0 as “a viable option for home defense, everyday carry protection and training at the range.” As such, the new SD9 2.0 9 mm pistol incorporates multiple performance upgrades.
The enhanced Self Defense Trigger sports a flat-face design, which the company said provides better tactile feedback during pull, break and reset, allowing for more controlled and accurate shots.
Additional features of the SD9 2.0 include a satin-finished slide with aggressive front serrations that provide the user more surface area for easier manipulation, texture on the front, sides and back of the grip for improved control, a four-inch stainless steel barrel, Picatinny-style rail, plus white-dot front and rear sights to aid for quicker target acquisition and sight picture clarity.
The SD9 2.0 platform is available in 16+1 and 10+1 capacities and is compatible with existing SD9 lights, lasers, holsters and other accessories.
Weighing in at 22.7 ounces, the SD9 2.0 has an ideal balance between portability and stability. Further, its overall length of 7.2 inches allows for ease of handling without compromising performance.
