Remington Ammunition Raises $15K For Arkansas Children’s Foundation

Remington Ammunition’s second annual Shoot to Cure fundraiser, which took place at the Remington Gun Club in Lonoke, AR, Sept. 22, was a huge success. Breaking clays to beat childhood cancer and disease, participants and sponsors raised more than $15,000 for the Arkansas Children’s Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing children’s hospitals and disease research.

“We were thrilled to bring back our Shoot to Cure fundraiser,” said Remington Director of Marketing Joel Hodgdon. “Big Green is deeply committed to giving back to our local community and nationwide. Thanks to the support of our attendees and sponsors, this sporting clays fundraiser helped those in need. Expect an even more impactful event next year.”

Each Shoot to Cure fundraiser plays a pivotal role in making a difference in the lives of families and children in Arkansas and beyond. Remington thanks industry sponsors Nighthawk Custom, Starline Brass, Benelli, Hornady, Fort Thompson Sporting Goods and Rob Roberts Custom Gun Works.

The Arkansas Children’s Foundation supports Arkansas Children’s Inc., a hospital located in Little Rock, Ark. It is the state’s only healthcare system dedicated to addressing the needs of children. It is part of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a nationwide group of facilities established in 1983 that today has more than 170 locations across North America.

With 700,000 children living in the state—and Arkansas ranking 40th out of the 50 states in terms of providing health care for them—the mission is a critical one. All money raised by the now annual Shoot to Cure gathering went to the foundation and will bolster its effort. Last year the event raised $10,000.

Remington’s Gun Club features facilities for trap, skeet and an all-new sporting clays course and five-stand. The world-class facility welcomes visitors, as well as corporate events, family gatherings and more.
