In an exclusive interview with GQ, Travis Scott unveiled his top four fashion influencers. He explained why late comedian Robin Williams influenced his fashion more than any other fashion icons.
The popular hip hop rapper is set to appear on the September cover of the international men’s magazine. He sat down with GQ to break down his fashion heroes, revealing that Robin Williams was among the top choices.
“Robin Williams is one of the best comedians,” he said. “I don’t know if you’re surprised, but don’t be. I always thought he had one of the illest fits.”
Robin Williams was a famous comedian and actor best known for his performances in Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Aladdin, etc. He was loved by many for his comedic presence and the memorable voices tied to characters in films.
He continued to praise Williams for having his own sense of style, stating the comedian was never afraid to wear what he wanted. “It was just very personal to himself,” he said.
Fans of the artist were surprised to see the late comedian on his list. A Youtube comment posted by Purple Vice said,” Travis chose people we literally didn’t expect him to choose, wow respect.”
Scott went on to say that the individuals on his list showcased a sense of confidence that influenced his style of fashion.
“For everyone, everything was attitude,” he said. “It’s not about clothes, it’s not about labels, it’s about what makes you happy. Never be scared to try new things. See what’s out there. Make your own things. Take something and make it your own.”
