Although no one will ever replace the man that was Robin Williams, so people have tried to copy or impersonate him. One man in particular, James Edward Costa, known professionally as Jamie Costa, may just be the most spot on Robin Williams impressionist ever.
Recently, the actor and impersonator recreated a scene from the beloved show Mork & Mindy on his YouTube Channel, where Williams finds out about the death of his friend, the late John Belushi. He dressed up in costume and looked and sounded almost exactly like him. He has impersonated him in the past, but this performance he nailed.

James Edward Costa, known professionally as Jamie Costa, is an American actor, director, producer, writer, voice actor, filmmaker, comedian, and impressionist. He is best known for the likeness of Robin Williams and the impression of many other characters. Costa was born on May 12, 1990 in Charlestown, SC. The actor makes YouTube videos of different celebrity impressions and movie characters, like Han Solo.

Growing up Costa attended James Island Christian School and then finished high school at Massanuteen Military Academy, where he graduated at the highest ranking cadet. The 31-year-old brieflt attended The Citadel and then transferred to North Greenville University. It was there that he discovered his love for the performing arts.
5 His Passion For Performing Arts
In 2017, Costa performed as Sebastian in Twelfth Night, which is a romantic comedy play by William Shakespeare. After graduating from NGU, Costa moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his career in entertainment. He rose to prominence around 2013/2014 when he started posting impressions on his YouTube channel. Costa was signed with William Morris Endeavor, after a performance at an SNL showcase and has since done many voiceover, acting and impressions work.

In 2014, he captured the world’s attention after capturing Robin Williams’ likeness and spirit in a video tribute called “Never Had A Friend Like Him,” which featured impressions of many of the late actor’s memorable characters. It was posted shortly after his death and slowly gained a lot of views because of how well he did it.

Costa appeared on the tenth season of America’s Got Talent. He wowed the judges with his impressions Sadly, his first audition was not shown, but his second was televised. Costa did not make it far in the competition, however, leaving the show during Judge Cuts. But his performance put him on the map and he started gaining more fans.

Since entering the entertainment business, Costa has appeared in many TV shows and movies including fan films and independent ones. He is going to star in the upcoming TV series Zack In Time as Agent Richard Beckett. Also, coming in 2022, he will star in the fan series, Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man and the Monsters of Manhattan. The actor has also been in a few documentaries and talent competition shows.

After he dropped the video of his Mork & Mindy impression, Costa started trending on Twitter. Fans cannot stop talking about how he perfectly embodied the late actor and want him to play Williams if a biopic is ever made.
Zelda, the daughter of the late comedian, kept getting tagged in the video. As much as she commended his performance and enjoyed watching it, she asked fans to please stop tagging her. “Guys, I’m only saying this because I don’t think it’ll stop until I acknowledge it… please, stop sending me the ‘test footage’. I’ve seen it. Jamie is SUPER talented, this isn’t against him, but y’all spamming me an impression of my late Dad on one of his saddest days is weird,” she tweeted.
