Only Fools and Horses

The Only Fools and Horses star you never knew has a very famous son

He's starred in big blockbuster's like the Marvel films

When a show gets to be as popular as Only Fools and Horses it’s no surprise that the stars become household names.

The antics of the Trotters and the other Peckham residents won the hearts of a nation when the show was first released in 1981.

Although the original cast get some of the most praise, those who joined for later seasons also won over fans.

One of those was Pamela Parry, played by Wanda Ventham.

Appearing as a recurring character between 1989 and 1992, Pamela was the some-what snooty mother of Rodney’s beau Cassandra.

She brought her own comic relief, taking side swipes at her husband’s childish antics, his drinking at the Nags Head and even the marriage reception at the pub

Ventham was a recognisable face on TV at the time starring in loads of TV shows and films.

But for newer audiences its her son, Benedict Cumberbatch, who’s the famous one.

He won numerous awards for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in hit BBC series, Sherlock, and has gone on to star in big blockbuster films including the Marvel series.

And all that talent must of come from somewhere.

Likely his exceptional talented parents.
