Smith & Wesson releases new Performance Center M&P9 Metal M2.0 Spec Series pistol with built-in compensator.

Smith & Wesson recently announced the release of its latest Spec Series Kit with the new Performance Center M&P9 Metal M2.0 9 mm pistol.

Overall length of the Performance Center M&P9 Metal 2.0 Spec Series is 8.5 inches, height is 5.5 inches and the weight is 30 ounces. Additionally, the frame and grip are made of aluminum.

The 4.8-inch stainless steel barrel in this striker-fired 9 mm pistol is threaded, although the Faxon-designed compensator is attached to the barrel at the factory.

Upgraded features integrated into this Performance Center Spec Series pistol include the aforementioned built-in Faxon compensator to mitigate felt recoil and muzzle rise, along with custom lightening cuts in the slide to reduce weight and improve reliability while being compensated. Additionally, there is an enhanced sear for a lighter, crisp trigger let-off, suppressor-height sights and OD Green Cerakote finish.

Shipping in a hard case, the new Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P9 Metal M2.0 Spec Series pistol also includes two 23-round magazines and two 17-round magazines, the C.O.R.E. plate system for mounting optics, a karambit-style knife and a challenge coin.
