Only Fools and Horses

Gorgeous Only Fools and Horses extra who is also a huge TV series icon

In the Only Fools and Horses episode The Unlucky Winner Is… the Trotter family jet off to Spain after winning a holiday.

Although there’s one catch, competition winner Rodney has to pretend to be a teenager the whole time and hang around with the other children for a week.

Del Boy entered Rodney into the competition without his permission and he wins in the under-15 category.

As Del, Rodney and Cassandra arrive in Spain they are greeted by upbeat holiday-reps who explained all winners will now be members of the Groovy Gang and will spend the next seven days enjoying activities to allow parents the chance to enjoy their break.

Bemused Rodney is forced to endure skating, a breakdancing contest, junior disco and becomes the love interest to a thirteen-year old Bros fan.

This episode of Only Fools and Horses first aired in January 1989 and includes an extra who became a huge TV star.

The role of Spanish holiday rep Carmen was played by actor Gina Bellman.

The New-Zealand born, British TV star studied in London and is well known for playing Jane Christie in series Coupling between 2000 and 2004.

Gina, 54, has also starred as Sophie Devereaux in Leverage between 2008 and 2012, Jemima Swann in Ripper Street (2013), Karen in Emerald City (2017), Lady Leonora in Henry IX (2017) – plus many more.

Most recently she played the part of Eleanor Markides in Bulletproof and Carol in movie Gentle.

But Only Fools and Horses wasn’t Gina’s big break as she played Trudy in hit TV show Grange Hill in 1984 and Gena Ruberti in Mussolini: The Untold Story.

She’s of course, still a life-long member of the ‘Groovy Gang’!
