Remember Damien Trotter, the annoying ‘evil’ kid from Only Fools and Horses?
He loved wearing chunky gold chains, wreaking havoc among his family and winding his uncle Rodney up, who was unforgettably (and rather hilariously) petrified of the youngster.
In the classic British sitcom, Damien was the only child of Del Boy and Raquel Trotter. As all parents do they saw him as an angelic young boy.
He was a little darling in their eyes and they ignored all the mischief he caused.
So what has the actor been up to?
Since appearing in Only Fools and Horses Ben has enjoyed a successful career in acting, and he still resembles his younger self.
Born in North London, the 30-year-old actor has so far played Reece Keys in TV movie Passer By alongside James Nesbitt.
And he’s appeared in other popular TV shows including Teachers, The Bill, Help! I’m a Teenage Outlaw, Misfits, Doctor Who, Holby City and Goodnight Mister Tom.
In 2008, Ben played Tegs Teague in EastEnders as the main leader of a gang called “the E20” who harassed Dot Branning.
During four episodes he wreaked havoc in Walford and eventually stabbed Jay Mitchell before getting arrested.
In 2015, Ben appeared in an episode of Manchester crime drama No Offence, as well as playing a soldier in TV short Native.
He’s also starred in movie Come Out of the Woods in 2017 which follows three brothers struggling in Scotland.
Most recently Ben has played the part of Robbie Lennox in TV mini-series Resistance (2019) which is the sequel series to the 2016 mini-series Rebellion, which was set during the 1916 Easter Rising.
Other notable TV and movies appearances include Silent Witness (2007), Nowhere Boy (2009), Whitechapel (2012), Scott & Bailey (2013) and many more.
But Rodney saw him as brat and believed he was the devil in likeliness to the infamous Damien from 1976 horror movie The Omen.
Throughout the seven series of Only Fools and Horses in which the character featured, Damien was played by six different actors in total.
Among them was Ben Smith who played the role of the the devil-child between 2001 and 03.
