Only Fools and Horses alum Nicholas Lyndhurst has been hailed as a "revelation" in upcoming Frasier reboot

The cast of Fraiser are set to reunite for a reboot and it looks like there are some new faces joining the already star-studded cast.

Kelsey Grammer will be reprising his role as the beloved radio shrink, Frasier Crane with Peri Gilpin and Bebe Neuwirth are briefly set to return as Roz Doyle and Lilith Sternin.

While David Hyde Pierce and Jane Leeves are not said to be making a comeback to the leading NBC sitcom as Niles Crane and Daphne Moon, they are set to be replayed by some other big names.

Only Fools and Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst will be joining Jack Cutmore-Scott, Toks Olagundoye and Jess Salgueiro to make their Fraiser debut.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk about what fans can expect in the upcoming reboot, Jeff Greenberg, who served as casting director, sang the praise of one new cast member in particular.

“The cast is just outstanding, and every one of them really stepped up and did a great job,” Jeff said before he hailing the Only Fools and Horses icon.

“I’ve never worked with [Nicholas] before and don’t really know his work as well as everyone in the UK,” he continued.

But nevertheless, Jess noted: “He is a revelation, he is so fantastic. He is really outstanding in this part, he is truly hilarious.”

“I really wasn’t as familiar with him as I could have been, and he just bowled me over. He’s just incredible.”

Before he found fame in Only Fools and Horses, Nicholas began his career featuring in adverts and children’s films during the 1970s before landing his first major role in the BBC sitcom Butterflies, in which he played Adam Parkinson.

Before he found fame in Only Fools and Horses, Nicholas began his career featuring in adverts and children’s films during the 1970s before landing his first major role in the BBC sitcom Butterflies, in which he played Adam Parkinson.

Shortly after Nicholas would star as Rodney Trotter in the leading BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses for 64 episodes between 1981 and 2003 alongside Sir David Jason who starred as Del Boy.

The iconic pair portrayed two brothers who would buy and sell almost anything, including dodgy goods, believing that they would someday get rich doing so.
