Some of most Robin Williams favoured possessions are being auctioned off in New York in a bid to raise money for charity.
The auction comes four years after the actor passed away and is expected to raise an exponential amount of money for chosen charities. The lot includes a mixture of Williams’ personal items along with various movie memorabilia.
According to the auction house, among the hundreds of items are up to 40 watches from Williams’ personal collection, an assortment of Banksy paintings, his Hollywood Walk of Fame star and, quite astonishingly, the Gryffindor robe worn by Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which is estimated to be worth $10,000-$15,000.
“Sotheby’s is honoured to announce that we will offer works from the collection of beloved entertainer Robin Williams and his wife of over 20 years, film producer and philanthropist Marsha Garces Williams, in a dedicated auction in New York on 4 October 2018,” the auction house said.
“Creating a Stage: The Collection of Marsha and Robin Williams” will offer works spanning Marsha’s and Robin’s diverse interests and careers, all reflecting their shared passion for collecting.
“The autumn auction will showcase film and entertainment memorabilia, including autographed scripts, awards, props and wardrobe associated with projects across Marsha’s and Robin’s careers.”
