British-Moroccan actor Nabil Elouhabi is a face many would recognise as Tariq from BBC’s EastEnders.

The actor appeared in a total of 165 episodes of the soap between 2003 and 2005 before his character, along with his on-screen family, The Ferreiras, were written out of the show.

Back in 2002, he also appeared in an episode of Only Fools and Horses, playing the role of Rashid Mahmoon, otherwise known as ‘Gary’, an illegal immigrant found at the back of Denzil’s lorry.

In the 63rd episode of the classic Peckham-based BBC comedy, Nabil Elouhabi’s character is described by a news report as a member of a gang named the “Gary Gang”, whom the police are searching for.
