Only Fools and Horses actress Andrée Bernard known as ‘Nervous Nerys’ looks unrecognisable 34 years on

ONLY Fools and Horses had many a scene in The Nag’s Head pub during its run.

As well as landlord Mike, their was a roster of barmaids on hand to serve drinks to Del Boy, Rodney and their pals.

In two episodes in the late 80s, one barmaid was Nerys, who Rodney successfully asked out on a date.

However, she became known as ‘Nervous Nerys’ after she was left terrified when a gang of thugs chased them in the iconic yellow Trotter Van.

Nerys was played by actress Andree Bernard and after her time in the BBC sitcom, she went on to star in a number of other popular TV shows.

Around the same time as her stint on Only Fools, she appeared in a couple of episodes of Emmerdale Farm.

Then in 1991 she played Angie in another classic British sitcom, The Brittas Empire, before landing the role of Liz Burton Taylor in Hollyoaks in 2003.

She then played the role in the soap’s spin-off series’ Let Loose and In The City until 2007.

Andree has also appeared in Doctors, The Bill and Holby City.

The actress was most recently seen at the 40th anniversary celebrations of Only Fools and Horses alongside Gwyneth Strong, who played Cassandra.
